Mount Street enjoyed the short trip down to Sennybridge on Wednesday afternoon. A feast of rugby was enjoyed by all. Great handling and strong tackling were a feature of both sides. Sennybridge enjoyed scoring some tries, but the Mount Street pupils never gave up. A wonderful effort from all.

Y5 have spent an afternoon transferring their coding skills from Scratch to the BBC Micro:bit. It won’t be long before they are teaching the staff!
Today (22nd Jan 2019), our year 6 pupils had a workshop with the Conflux theatre. Their challenge? To perform William Shakespear’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ after only 1 day’s rehearsal – no scripts allowed!
The pupils had a fantastic day and the whole school enjoyed the performance at the end. Bendigedig!
The Upper Juniors are currently having great fun and learning new skills building their own mechanical toys.
The two upper junior classes had a fantastic trip back in time St Fagan’s. We found out about life through the ages in Wales. A highlight of the trip was a workshop with ‘Iron-Age Ian’ who showed us how Iron-Age Celts lived. We ground flour and learned how they used the natural resources for food, medicine and building materials.
