D-Day Remembrance service

The whole school came together this morning to remember those who risked and gave their lives for our future. The children respectfully sat and watched a power point presentation of pictures and facts from the Second World War. We heard the story and experiences of 15 year old Jim Radford who was a galley boy with his first trip at sea being to Normandy. He revisited the beach where many of his friends and comrades lost their lives and wrote a song for that day never to be forgotten. Staff and children sat and listened to the poignant music and words.
