Mount Street Remembers

On Monday 11th November 2019 the we remembered those who gave their lives during war.  The Remembrance service at The Plough Chapel was led by pupils where we shared our understanding, thoughts and feelings with the congregation.

The Plough chapel was adorned with poppies. Each of us had the opportunity to create
a poppy in memory of a hero who lost his or her life during past and present wars. The poppies were made from recycled bottles. The bottom of each bottle was transformed into a beautiful poppy which added to the atmosphere in the chapel. It was a very moving service for all and was lovely to receive the following comment after the service:

“I have just attended your memorial service in the Plough Chapel. I served for 30 years in The Royal Air Force and took part in many Remembrance parades and services during my career. Today’s led by the children was the most moving I can remember.
Huge congratulations to staff and most of all the children.”
